Appropriate Care for Everyone (ACE)

The ACE Partnership Programme, made up of local NHS organisations and social services, aims to solve one of the biggest problems currently facing health and social care in Oxfordshire which is delayed transfers of care. It will bring this about by making changes to the way that people avoid hospital admissions, when they do have a hospital admission supporting them to return home quickly and supporting people to remain in their own home wherever possible.

The Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (OCCG) is keen to meet with groups and organisations that have an interest in this work and would be pleased to make arrangements wherever possible. If you would like to meet please contact Judy McCulloch on the above email and / or phone number.

The consultation will close on 16 March 2012.

Developing the shadow Governing Body of the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group

In order to become a statutory organisation the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (OCCG) will have to go through an authorisation process; as part of this process it is required that OCCG has a shadow Governing Body that will ensure that OCCG has appropriate arrangements in place to exercise it’s commissioning responsibilities effectively, efficiently and economically and in accordance with principles of good governance.

The shadow Governing Body needs to be in place by 1 April 2012 to enable OCCG to build a track record of performance in commissioning before it takes over responsibility for commissioning in Oxfordshire from the PCT in April 2013.

Please find attached a short paper outlining the proposed structure of the shadow Governing Body for OCCG. OCCG would welcome comments on the proposed structure. Deadline for feedback is Friday 24February 2012. A hard copy of the briefing is available from cariad.hazard@oxfordshirepct.nhs.uk or please call 01865 334658.
