Appointment's

You can now contact the surgery via our online triage system from 8am until 18.30pm every day. This will require you to complete one of our short online forms, this is then triaged by our triaging Dr. They will then contact you with an approriate appointment.

This applies to all urgent and routine appointment requests.  For all administrative queries you can now use accurx to contact the surgery and receive a response by the end of the next working day.

If you are unable to complete an online form or have no internet access - please call on 01993 845 600 - and our Care Co-ordinators will happily complete the triage form on your behalf.

We will always do our best to offer an appointment where the triage process concludes that your need is urgent.

You can contact the surgery via the telephone to book all nursing appointments.

Face-to-Face Consultations

A clinician - GP, ANP or Nurse - will make a decision whether you need to be consulted in person at the Practice and, make an appointment with you whilst on the phone.  It is important that you arrive on time, check in using the screen in our main reception, otherwise we will not know that you have arrived.

Phone Consultations

Our Patient Coordinators are only authorised to offer a phone consultation - with a GP, ANP or Nurse.  You must be available for the clinician to call you back - either during the morning or afternoon session - the Patient Coordinator will confirm which.  If you do not answer the call after two attempts, we have no choice but to move onto the next patient and, you will need to call again.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Please let us know if you cannot make a booked appointment by calling ahead, this means we can then allocate the time to another patient awaiting an appointment.

To cancel your appointment

  • phone us on 01993 845 600, Monday to Friday from 8am

Home visits

A home visit can be requested if you are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery.  Please phone the Health Centre on 01993 845 600 before 10am if you require a home visit and our Patient Coordinators will triage your need according to the availability of appointments.

You will initially receive a telephone consultation to determine your eligibility for a home visit by a qualified clinician or one of the staff from the Early Visiting Team service.
