Safeguarding

Our commitment to safeguarding

Broadshires Health Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk. All staff have a duty to recognise abuse and neglect and to act on any concerns in accordance with local and national safeguarding procedures.

What is safeguarding?

Safeguarding means protecting people's health, wellbeing, and human rights, enabling them to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect. This includes children, young people, and adults who may be vulnerable due to circumstances such as age, illness, disability, or other factors.

  • Sharing information appropriately with relevant agencies to protect those at risk
  • Working in partnership with local safeguarding boards and other organisations
