  • DR DEBBIE NOBLE

    Senior Partner

    Dr Debbie Noble works on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, seeing patients in general surgery. Dr Noble specialises in ‘Genito-Urinary Medicine’ so in addition to her work at the Broadshires she works one day a week for the ‘GUM Clinic’ at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford. Dr Noble has two young boys who keep her very busy!

    Dr Alberts joined the Practice in November 2020. She is available on the mornings of Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Dr Alberts is also a Qualified GP Trainer.

  • DR ANTONY MALLOY

    Dr Antony Malloy is available to see patients on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Outside the practice he is very active and enjoys playing hockey, running half marathons and completing other challenges to raise money for charity. He is also kept very busy looking after his 2 young daughters. - ** He now only works at the practice on Thursdays.

    Dr Lucy Johnson joined the Practice in April 2019, having recently qualified as a General Practitioner. She is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. ** working days Tuesday and Thursday

  • DR ALICE GERRARD

    Female

    Dr Alice Gerrard has joined the team as a salaried GP in March 2023, she was previously working at the practice as a locum GP. Dr Gerrard has an interest in women's health and specialises in Menopause care. ** she works Monday looking after our local care home, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays.

Nurses

Our Nursing team consists of Lead Nurses Lydia and Millie, Practice Nurses Juliette, Sue and Lara, Advanced Nurse Practitioner Jacki, Nursing Associate Mike, Healthcare assistant Marie and Phlebotomist Clodagh. Members of the team are available by appointment for all primary care nursing services and support and management of various needs including; menopause, asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure.

    Zahra is in charge of our medication reviews, audits and oversees the processes around prescriptions.

Practice Management

    The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the health centre and oversees all aspects of the service we provide to you. If you have a complaint, criticism, suggestion (or even praise or thanks!), please ask at reception to speak to her. Your views are always welcome and help us to provide the best possible service to all our patients.

    Paula assists with all day-to-day running of the surgery. She is also Reception Manager overseeing the reception team.

    Systems & Admin Support Manager

    Annette has overall responsibility for the Surgery's systems and admin, including secretarial work and invoicing.

Clinical Admin

Our clinical admin staff consist of Sarah Filer, Liz Shaw, Lyndsey Taylor and Sophia Booker. Our clinical admin team ensure that all correspondence and medical notes are up to date.

Reception

Our reception team consists of Paula, Sarah, Megan, Michelle, Kirsten, Fran and Claire. In addition to booking appointments with the doctors and practice nurses, our receptionists will do their best to answer any queries you may have. Please treat them as courteously as you would expect them to treat you. Sometimes they may have to ask you for further details to assess how best to help you. Please help them by being as concise as possible about your requirements. All our staff will respect your privacy and are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses. If you wish to discuss your needs in private, we have an interview room available for this purpose.

    Sue ensures correct referral pathways are made and forming the written link between GPs, Consultants and Patients.

Midwives oversee all aspects of your pregnancy and confinement.

Community Nurses

The District Nurse team attached to the Broadshires Health Centre, provide nursing care to individuals in their own homes either before admission to hospital or after they have been discharged. They also provide care for people who do not need admission to hospital, but need care in the home. The district nurses can also provide a link to other parts of the NHS and to Social Services as well as supporting both formal and informal carers. They work closely with their GP colleagues and with other practice-based staff. The service operates from 8:00am to 4:30pm seven days a week and the district nurses can be contacted directly Monday to Friday on 01865 902800 and weekends and bank Holidays on 01993 866526.

Health Visitors

Our health visiting team are fully qualified nurses who have received additional training in family and child health. They offer a home visiting service and run well baby clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the local community centre. They are available to help all families with children up to the age of 18 years, and have special expertise in the everyday challenges of parenthood in areas such as dental health, healthy eating, sleep problems, behavioural difficulties, bedwetting, postnatal depression and the management of eczema. The health visitors also run postnatal support groups for first-time mothers and offer antenatal and postnatal visits. A key part of their role is the provision of developmental screening for all children. This includes advice on immunisations, healthy living, the prevention of diseases and safety in the home. School Nurses

The qualified school nurses have additional training and experience in the health of school-aged children. They are the nurses responsible for Carterton Community College, Burford School, and all feeder primary schools. The school health service offers routine immunisations for year 10 children, as well as flu vaccines for all eligible children, together with health education and promotion that cover a wide range of health-related areas. The School Nurses work closely with their health visitor colleagues and can be contacted on 01865 901 295. A message can be left on this number during school term times only.
